Personally, I believe that Christmas is a lot more than just a religious holiday. Sure it initially revolved around a religious theme, but now I feel like it's much more than that. Christmas is a time to care and think of others before yourself. It's a time to cherish family and enjoy one another's company. Sure I may not be the most religious person in the world, but I enjoy going to church on Christmas Eve and listening to Christmas music because to me it's a beautiful thing. To me it's not about the God, but about the memories. It seems like Lily's the only one able to get in the Christmas spirit, and she can't even begin to understand that concept. I've been sick as a dog, mom and dad have been working themselves to exhaustion, and dad's friend is on his deathbed. It seems like everywhere there are so many good people who are being killed or are dying for no good reason at all while we're left with the corrupted. I considered praying to God to heal dad's friend, but I don't think life works like that. Nothing seems to ever work as it may seem. We decorated the inside of our house today. It was quite a mess for a solid four hours, and I was most unhelpful due to my cold which doesn't seem to want to bugger off. My mom had me and my brother move the piano (which is heavy!!)among other things only to realize that if we wanted the tree to fit, we would have to put everything back to the way it normally is arranged. But we got the tree up, rather they did, I was unconscious from cold medicine, but I'm now ready to embrace the Christmas spirit. So, this is a bit delayed, which I figured would probably happen, just not this quickly... However I have been taking pictures every day so no worries Zelieve nation! Seeing as it was the first day of December, my family decided to begin decorating. Hauling out the holly and stringing up the lights, however, did not trigger a happy holiday feel within me. It was approximately 56 degrees Saturday way warm around here. I'm not complaining though, I like this weather. The only reason anyone could not like the warm weather is the lack of 2 hour delays and school cancellations, plus snow on Christmas is always nice. Eh, what am I kidding, I'd prefer a warm sunny winter than a snowy cold one. Bring on the global warming. So, I've decided I'm going to try a little challenge if you will. I have to take a new photo every day in December and come up with an 100 word response to the photo. Wish me luck!
All photography on this page is my original work and if you insist on using photography for other purposes besides just observation, I'd appreciate it if you'd ask first. Thank you.
